Bed and Breakfasts to Honour Veterans and Active Military Personnel

Ottawa, ON – Bed and Breakfasts across Canada want to honour veterans and active military personnel with free rooms in recognition of Remembrance Day.

In a campaign called B&B for Vets, Bed and Breakfasts will open their doors by offering complimentary stays for the night of November 11, 2012 for all veterans and active military personnel. B&B’s for Vets started in 2008 in West Virginia in honour of Veteran’s Day and last year BBCanada.com took the initiative to create more awareness for the campaign in Canada.

“Many Bed and Breakfasts throughout Bruce and Grey Counties will be participating in this great program to honour the work of our veterans and military personnel,” said Larry Miller, MP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound. “I encourage all to take part in this program and enjoy a complimentary stay on November 11th.”

Veterans and active personnel who are interested in reserving a room for Remembrance Day should e-mail or call the Bed and Breakfast they wish to stay at directly. Military identification will be requested.
