Dundalk Lawn Bowling Club Celebrates Completion of Federally Funded Project

Dundalk, ON – Today, Larry Miller, MP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound, celebrated the completion of a project at the Dundalk Lawn Bowling Club. The project received funding through the Federal Government’s New Horizons for Seniors Funding program.

The New Horizons for Seniors Program is a federal funding program that supports projects that increase the overall well-being of seniors in their communities. Projects can focus on social participation, volunteerism, community programs and more that support seniors in Canada.

The Dundalk Lawn Bowling Club received $24,660 through this program to support the construction of an outside covered seating area at the facility. The project will increase social participation within the club and the community by providing an area for seniors to enjoy lawn bowling.

“I am very pleased to see that the Dundalk Lawn Bowling Club has worked hard to build an outside covered seating area and congratulate them on the success they have had with this project,” said Miller. “This project will give seniors and community members in Dundalk a great place to enjoy lawn bowling.”

While in Dundalk, Mr. Miller also visited Sanford and Sons and congratulated them on the opening of their new location. He also stopped to congratulate the Huron Bay Cooperative Services on the grand-opening of their location in Dundalk.
