MP Larry Miller Encourages Residents to Volunteer for 2015 Pan and Parapan American Games

Owen Sound, ON – With the Pan and Parapan American Games set to take place in the summer of 2015, Larry Miller, MP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound, is encouraging residents of Bruce and Grey counties to register to become a volunteer for the games.

The Toronto 2015 Pan American Games will take place from July 10th to 26th, 2015 and the Parapan American Games will take place from August 7th to 15th, 2015. Games events and activities will be held in Toronto and in municipalities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe.

“I strongly encourage residents of Bruce and Grey counties to register to become a volunteer for the 2015 Pan and Parapan American Games in Toronto,” said Miller. “Having volunteers for the games will ensure that the events run smoothly and will give volunteers an opportunity to be a part of a unique international sporting event.”

More than 20,000 volunteers, some requiring bilingual language skills, will be needed to work in areas from visitor support to transportations and medical services.
