MP Larry Miller Invites Stakeholders to Participate in Pre-Budget Consultations
Owen Sound, ON – Larry Miller, MP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound, encourages all stakeholders to participate in pre-budget consultations being conducted by the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance in preparation for the 2014 Federal Budget.
Small businesses, non-profit groups, industry organizations, and individuals are all invited to participate in the consultation process by making a submission through the committee’s online template. All of the submissions that the committee receives will help to formulate the committee’s pre-budget recommendations. These recommendations may ultimately be reflected in the 2014 or future Federal Budgets.
“I am very pleased that the Federal Government is giving all Canadians the opportunity to have a direct say on how their tax dollars will be spent,” said Miller. “I strongly encourage all interested business, community and non-profit groups, industries and even individuals to submit their ideas on the upcoming budget to the committee.”
Canadians can submit their recommendations through the online template on the committee’s website (instructions on how to complete the template are available online). Please note that all submissions must be received by August 5th, 2013. Only one submission per group or individual may be submitted.
