MP Larry Miller Announces New Horizons Funding for the Kiwanis Music Festival
 

Owen Sound, ON- Last night, Larry Miller, MP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound, announced that the Kiwanis Music Festival will receive funding through the New Horizons for seniors program.

 

The Kiwanis Music Festival will support social participation and inclusion of seniors by encouraging seniors` participation in musical workshops.

 

“Our Government recognizes the important contributions that our senior citizens make to our society,” said Larry Miller. “This funding will ensure that senior citizens in Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound maintain a high quality of life and continue as active, participating members of their communities.”

 

New Horizons is a funding program designed to work with community organizations to encourage the participation of seniors in community events. This year, the Harper Government will provide more than $35.6 million in funding for almost 2000 community projects.
