MP Larry Miller congratulates TD Scholarship Recipients

 

Ottawa, ON – MP Larry Miller was at the awards ceremony for the TD Scholarship for Community Leadership presentations to congratulate Samantha Manner and David Beisel.

 

Samantha and David are both recipients of the prestigious $70,000 scholarship due to their hard work and leadership qualities on initiatives in their school and community. Samantha attended West Hill Secondary School and is currently at Chesley District High School. She founded the Green Group at her school and runs many initiatives through this group. David is a student at West Hill Secondary School. He is the president of the Youth Theatre Coalition of Owen Sound and has also founded the Showcase Singers group.

 

“I am very proud to have two TD Scholarship recipients from my riding. It really shows the young, bright and talented youth that we have in Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound,” said Miller. “On behalf of everyone in the riding I would like to congratulate Samantha and David on this tremendous accomplishment.”

 

The $70,000 scholarship will support tuition and living expenses for four years of post-secondary education. Along with the scholarship is guaranteed employment at TD Bank for at least one summer.
