Ottawa, ON – Larry Miller, MP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound, is encouraging organizations to submit proposals for funding for projects that aim to create or enhance accessibility for people with disabilities through the Enabling Accessibility Fund.
Projects eligible for funding include, but are not limited to renovations, construction and retrofitting of buildings, modification of vehicles for community use or enhancements to make information and communication technologies more accessible.
“I am very pleased that the Enabling Accessibility Fund will help to improve access to facilities, activities and services and will remove barriers for people with disabilities,” said Miller. “I strongly encourage all organizations in Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound pursuing these projects to submit a proposal for this funding.”
Organizations can submit proposals until October 5th, 2012, and can receive up to $50,000 per project. For more information on the Enabling Accessibility Fund please visit www.hrsdc.gc.ca/disability.
