MP Larry Miller and MPP Bill Walker Present Diamond Jubilee Medals
Ottawa, ON – Larry Miller, MP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound, and MPP Bill Walker made a joint presentation this afternoon to recipients of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal at the Land Force Central Area Training Centre in Meaford.
The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal is a commemorative medal that was created to mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60th Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne. These medals are being presented to 60,000 deserving Canadians who have made significant contributions to their fellow citizens, their community and to Canada.
Mr. Miller presented medals to the following recipients:

“I am very proud of the achievements of all individuals receiving the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal today,” said Miller. “The contributions that each person has made to their fellow citizens and indeed to Canada as a whole are something to be very proud of.”
Walker called the medal recipients inspiring individuals.
“You gave your time, energy and enthusiasm to the community and to our country, and for this all of you deserve a big and heartfelt thank you,” said Walker.
