Roselawn Bowling Club Receives Funding through Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program

Owen Sound, ON – Today, Larry Miller, MP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound, on behalf of the Honourable Gary Goodyear, Minister for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, announced that the Roselawn Bowling Club will be receiving $10,000 through the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program.

The Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program is being delivered by regional development agencies across the country and will provide $150 million over the next two years to support the rehabilitation, renovation and expansion of existing community infrastructure. There was significant interest in the program in southern Ontario with FedDev receiving more than 1,100 applications during the application intake.

Projects have been selected based on program criteria including; the extent to which funding was leveraged from other sources, construction-readiness, and linkages to Canada’s 150th Anniversary. Funding for the Roselawn Bowling Club will support the renovation of the southern portion of the clubhouse.

“The Roselawn Bowling Club promotes healthy and fun competition in the sport of lawn bowling by hosting tournaments, social events, inter-club competitions and more,” said Miller. “The funding being received through Canada 150 will support an important renovation at the clubhouse. This project will ensure that the club remains successful for years to come.”
