Starter Company Program for young local entrepreneurs

February 10, 2015

On December 9th, MPP Bill Walker and MP Larry Miller joined in celebrating the success of the first four local young entrepreneurs who have recently participated in the Ontario Government Starter Company Program through the Business Enterprise Centre – Owen Sound & Area.

The program is available to local youth aged 18-29 to have the opportunity to start and run their own business or grow their existing business. The program provides free business training and support to help young entrepreneurs who are matched with a local experienced entrepreneur for ongoing support and mentorship. Grant funds of up to $5000 are limited.

The successful young business owners include Erin Turner of Grey Bruce Accounting, Harley Eden of Ironwood Coffee Company, Scott Stevenson of SS Garden and Property Maintenance and Katie Carscadden of Fairmount Tack and Apparel. Please support these exceptional young entrepreneurs, as they develop and grow their business in our community.
