UNICEF’s ‘Bring Your MP to School Day’

Ottawa, ON – On Tuesday, November 12th, 2013, Larry Miller, MP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound, will be participating in UNICEF’s ‘Bring Your MP to School Day’ at various schools throughout Bruce and Grey counties.

This program was developed by UNICEF and provides an opportunity for MPs and their youngest constituents to engage in meaningful discussion and learn from each other. The aim of the program is to have MPs across the country visit schools in their ridings during the week of November 11th-15th. The initiative is in recognition of National Child Day, which is celebrated in Canada on November 20th.

“I am very happy to be participating in UNICEF’s ‘Bring Your MP to School Day’ and am very much looking forward to meeting with many students in local schools throughout Bruce and Grey counties,” said Miller. “I look forward to engaging with these students and imparting as much knowledge as I can on them but am equally looking forward to learning from what they have to say.”

School administrators looking to have Mr. Miller appear at their school through the ‘Bring Your MP to School Day’ program, should contact 519-371-1059 or e-mail larry.miller.c1a@parl.gc.ca.
